You have to identify your learning style and use it to the hilt. I learned French in 30 days once I had a French girl friend who didn’t speak English, but lessons were 24/ 7. I took the dictionary to bed. Reading and writing came later. Speaking, making the sounds fascinated me.

You promote an orderly system but I was never so programmable. I say throw yourself at it with passion and if some system doesn’t work for you, invent your own.
