The Trickery of Words

At the beginning of the Western world it was understood and taught that before you can start to learn chemistry or biology or astronomy or anything else you have to learn to breathe consciously, you have to learn a certain quality of attention and respectfulness…Learn that everything given you is to serve a cosmic purpose.

Even simpler than emptiness, this is an openness that gives birth to the silence… To perceive that you are perceiving, aware of yourself seated on a chair, seeing and hearing and feeling together — that is the original meaning of the expression common sense. And Aristotle, God bless him, sent the whole thing in the wrong direction…

“People nowadays tend to talk about ancient Gnostics without having a clue who they were. For thousands of years Gnostic tradition has been persecuted as a terrible heretical deviation from Christian orthodoxy. But orthodox Christianity with all its beliefs and codes and creeds is the heresy…

…But with the arrival of all the priests and bishops and popes… soon the official Gospels were carefully being manufactured to cover over the original knowing of the Gnostics….

The truth is that to get beyond the fakery of our own words we have to be taken into another world…because the splintering of reality into Christians and Buddhists and pagans is simply the work of priests and disciples trapped in the trickery
