William Blake, The Mercy

What surprised and offended me most about the low-wage workplace was the extent to which one is required to surrender one’s basic civil rights and self-respect. I learned this at the very beginning of my stint as a waitress, when I was warned that my purse could be searched by management at any time….

What you don’t necessarily realize when you start selling your time by the hour is that what you’re really selling is your life.

— Barbara Ehrenreich, Nickel and Dimed

Consider the insanity of basically frisking low wage workers, and then allowing a President to hide his finances from the American people. Consider what it means to speak of business in terms of the rights of owners, but not workers?

Whales have powers. The field of perception for a whale is almost the entire ocean- they can pick up calls from thousands of miles away, and their voices carry just as far. There is a known phenomenon where humans spontaneously break down in tears of joy when hearing whale calls, the reason for this is unknown. When whales call, they are bathing 70% of the Earth in high frequency vibrations, known to heal and benefit all biological lifeforms. These creatures play a very specific role in the Earth’s consciousness.
