“In a world of noise, confusion and conflict it is necessary that there be places of silence, inner discipline and peace.”

Darling,

We lose our soul where we least expect it.

At the kids fair when on the wheel of fortune you felt like you’d fall into the void.

When you said goodbye to your mom in that wooden box that she just let her eyes see sleeping and unawakened.

That afternoon when you hit your face in the window and saw your man break so he won’t come back.

As a child in school, when reading as a beginner they made fun of you, you lost confidence.

When you first felt the cry of the old tree that was cutting down ignorant workers machetezos from the feeling of this friend’s cry.

When you packed your bags and left the house to start your life somewhere else.

Oh my goodness! How easy it is to leave the soul tied up in a tangled or stung in oxidized thorns of some city fence.

We lose soul without knowing it, without feeling it, and we get used to living in half.
