Q: A yoga teacher told me not to meditate with pets because they steal your spiritual energy. But whenever I start meditating, my pets sense it and scratch at the door to get in. What should I do?

A: Fur is sacred. Fur transmits divine energy from the earth, up through your finger, out through your crown, and into the heavens, where angels can feel it. Angels long for fur and that is why they take birth here as golden poodles, white mutts, and black labs. Even cats. Well, maybe not cats.

Animals keep our hearts open and healthy. If you don’t meditate with at least three pets curled up beside you, how will you ever know the meaning of Sat-Sang? Or ‘Three Dog Night’?
