The Door
The gut chakra powers the mind so the head and gut points are related. The head is an identification with self ideas, from the content of the mind. The gut is an identification with a deeper, controlling self-sense. That leans towards the intellect as that’s what first distinguishes self from other in childhood. The leads to the core identity and our identification with our given name.
With the intellect we find a path back to the heart…The heart is where the jiva or soul resides while we live in this body.

With practice, we can see that our wounded child is not only us. Our wounded child may represent several generations. Our mother may have suffered throughout her life. Our father may have suffered. Perhaps our parents weren’t able to look after the wounded child in themselves.
So when we’re embracing the wounded child in us, we are embracing all the wounded children in our past generations….
This body is not me; I am not caught in this body, I am life without boundaries, I have never been born and I have never died. Over there the wide ocean and the sky with many galaxies All manifests from the basis of consciousness….Birth and death are only a door through which we go in and out….
