This is the central meditation instruction in dzogchen; we are sitting and we are open, all kind of things are arising, sensation in the body, noises from outside and so on, don’t grasp at them and build on them with more thoughts, don’t ignore them and blank them out, don’t merge into them, just stay present as they arise and pass, as if you are a mirror, many experiences arise as if reflections within you. Remember the reflection is in the mirror, our experience is very intimate but it’s not us. The reflection is not the mirror. The reflection is the showing of the clarity or the potential of the mirror
