And I like James Hillman’s idea, that the soul isn’t young or old, or it is both. And the aim maybe, is just not to be too dominated by the senex or the puer(and people can also become dominated or ‘possessed’ by the senex, you know, when they become worldly weary or cynical). And i like to think there will always be some of the child or the youth within me, and some of its daring and imagination, and its new life. It is one of the most complicated topics in psychology, if you ask me, the topic of how to reconcile the senex(old man) and puer(youth) within ourselves.
