Search For The Lost Soul
Throughout history, the mystics have carried the mysteries of transformation, which can return creativity to religion and transform it into a spiritual quest. The mystic vision arises out of the great religions and becomes critical of their institutions when their dogma has rigidified. The mystics replace fear with awe, authority with compassion, and duty with love. They reclaim the true purpose of dogma, which is to channel our relationship to the numinous, to support and liberate spiritual growth — not limit it.

“An essential portion of any artist’s labor is not creation so much as invocation. Part of the work cannot be made, it must be received; and we cannot have this gift except, perhaps, by supplication, by courting, by creating within ourselves that ‘begging bowl’ to which the gift is drawn.”
~ Lewis Hyde, The Gift.

“From every human being there rises a light that reaches straight to heaven, and when two souls that are destined to be together find each other, the streams of light flow together and a single brighter light goes forth from that united being.”
