Our tiny French village of 150 souls would have died but for the foreigners. We came from Germany, Italy, Canada, Holland, England, Eastern Europe, and of course Texas (us). Everybody was renovating. A lot of money was being poured into that village by foreigners. Shopping was extremely basic, but in the days when the hotel was still open you could eat a really good meal. We miss it.
