Set your life on fire. Seek those who fan your flames.

What am I in the eyes of most people?

A nonentity or an oddity or a disagreeable person — someone who has and will have no position in society, in short a little lower than the lowest.

Even though l’m often in a mess, inside me there’s still a calm, pure harmony and music. In the poorest little house, in the filthiest corner, I see paintings or drawings.

And my mind turns in that direction as if with an irresistible urge.

~ Vincent VanGogh

What did the great writers study?

• Ernest Hemingway: He didn’t do university studies. After graduating from high school, he got a position as an ambulance driver during World War I.

• Gabriel Garcia Marquez: He studied law even though he didn’t finish his studies. After stopping his law studies, he became a journalist but he didn’t study for this.

• Haruki Murakami: Studied Greek Literature and Theatre at Waseda University.

• Isaac Asimov: Studied Biochemistry at Columbia University.
