I’m amazed by what happened to the States when I go back. After all, I’ve only been gone some forty little years. It went so fast. Developers overran my small hometown, pushing it from 800 souls to some 40,000 drones working 9-to-5 in nearby Austin. The traffic is apocalyptic. Strip malls have mushroomed. Everyone is in a big hurry. And everything costs an arm and a leg.
