I took a test once just to see how fluent I was in French. I was ranked at 98% native French speaker. I achieved this ranking by living and communicating for ten years in French with a French girlfriend who did not speak English. I don’t see how you can get to that level by academic means. I spoke French all day long every day in every kind of life circumstance, including arguments and emergencies. I don’t see how classroom work can duplicate that. You are to be congratulated.
