I started publishing every day on Medium five years ago, not really sure what kind of writer I was. I had always been a journal keeper, but I had been a practicing painter/sculptor for fifty years. I did find my feet eventually and my subject turns out to be very specialized. It’s in the pschospiritual and creativity territory and I seem to always have something to say about it, every day.

I’m not sure I can write about anything else, so hiring myself out as a wordsmith doesn’t look feasible. I do have a dedicated little following on Medium, but it doesn’t look like it’s going to become big. Money or no money, I’ll always write, but I do sometimes wonder if there isn’t a way to earn a better living with it.
