I learned French in my early 30’s, living in France with French people. I definitely have a distinctly French persona that is differently from my Anglo American one. I feel my energy switch as I switch languages. It’s pronounced, not subtle. But that spoken language. I’d rather write in English than French, but I often would rather speak French than English.
