You are made of ancestors…There is no separate self. We are a current. We are a stream. We are a continuation.

- Thich Nhat Hanh

“Now, why do I put so much emphasis on having at least one living experience of ‘dying before dying’; to drop the body or ego and travel beyond the wall of death to not only get familiar with the landscape but also to identify with our most inward Source, the Soul, while still alive? Because if there is still terrible attachment to our rational mind and its materiality, and especially fear of death because we have only experienced extroverted life….when we die the experience of merging through a tunnel with this Living Mystery, won’t be love and light, but rather, it can be a violent and traumatic experience where many see this as being dragged by monsters and demons through living hell into an imaginably frightening end, death in the Void. For as an ancient Greek saying goes, ‘those who will, Fates guide. But those who won’t they drag.’

….much can be grasped from a pseudo-death — a period of withdrawal, incubation, fasting or isolation… The result of this separation and the subsequent union- this process of dissolving and coagulating, disintegrating and integrating- is to relate conscious with the unconscious, the personal life of the individual with cosmic, universal Life.”
