First, I’m over 80 years old. I grew up in a more congealed patriarchy, and because I’m male, I participated to some extent. But, being a poetic type I mutated into a more humane version of myself eventually. It was work, it was effort, and there was pain given and received. It occurs to me that you’re running up against the patriarchy so strongly because you’re outspoken and you’re a woman. I believe, without proof it must be said, that the culture is changing and the old guard is panicking right now. You’ve hit a nerve.
I do think that there are men who are less fragile and defensive than the ones you mention, and I hope you have a chance to meet some of them. They do exist.
