Do not wait until you are dying

to understand your spiritual nature.

If you do it now, you will discover resources of kindness and compassion you didn’t know you had. It is from this mind of intrinsic wisdom and compassion that you can truly benefit others.

~ Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche, ‘Life In Relation To Death’

Buddha nature is not a special quality available to just a privileged few.

Religion is a belief system that extracts your relationship from the consciousness of the Earth. It leads you into a “monastic oneness” and places you into a vulnerable situation where you are constantly looking for a “connection”. And you spend the rest of your life rationalizing why you feel lost, dazed and confused because that ‘belief system’ consumed any chance of understanding and replaced it with ritualistic knowledge…

The Earth is real, not a ‘belief’ system. Mystery is real, don’t try to solve it, save it, shoot it, nor science it…

Sooner or later something seems to call us towards a particular path. You may remember the ‘something’ as a signal moment in childhood when an urge out of nowhere, a fascination, a peculiar turn of events struck like an annunciation. This is what I must do, this is what I have got to have. This is who I am.

— James Hillman

That’s an interesting question, of the difference between belief and apprehension of Reality. A lot of the time when we think we see a “fact” we’re actually projecting a belief onto a screen only we can see. How do we know what’s real? Quantum physics is telling us we’re living in a simulation, that energy clusters are working hard to manifest in three dimensions all the physical “realities” we smell and touch and see.

There’s a mystery there that we in our culture have managed to de-mystify. Our belief system almost seems designed to nip wonder in the bud.

But mystery is still a fact of our existence, it’s just that we prefer our mysteries served to us like pablum. Adam’s rib notwithstanding, Reality is a lot more…
