…scripture is not magic. Any poem or essay that takes us into that mysterious depth can serve as a “scripture.”
Again, scripture is misunderstood if read by and for individuals. These are stories originally told and songs sung around campfires reaching back through the mists of time. Thousands of years later, scripture is not very good at telling individuals what to think or to do, but it can be be a very helpful aids in rediscovering who we are as a species.
