True initiation is a response to an inner calling; it requires that you face personal challenges heroically and experience a genuine rebirth into a new way of being.”

I was interested in reading very early, because of a story I was read, by Hans Christian Andersen, which was The Little Mermaid, and I don’t know if you remember it but The Little Mermaid is very sad. The little mermaid falls in love with the prince, but she can’t marry him, because she’s a mermaid. And it’s so sad that I can’t tell you the details. But well, as soon as I finished the story I went outside and walked around and around the house where we lived, in the brick house, and I made a story with my own happy ending, because I thought I owed it to the little mermaid,…And I wasn’t worried that maybe the rest of the world didn’t know this new story, because I felt it had been published as soon as I thought it. So, there you go, it was an early start in the writing.

How can you have lived for so long and still not get it? This self obsession is a waste of living. It could be spent surviving things, appreciating nature, nurturing kindness and friendship, and dancing.
