From Laura Lentz

We don’t need more money, we don’t need greater success or fame, we don’t need the perfect body or even the perfect mate…we have a mind, which is all the basic equipment we need to achieve complete happiness.

~ The 14th Dalai Lama

One night, in the middle of the night, someone shook my arm and said wake up. Six men and women claimed to be doctors from the future. They were going to work on my body and asked me to trust them.

I didn’t feel worthy of a healing. I had stopped doing the work I loved, and everything felt bleak and tired and old and hard.

After that, I searched my soul to remember how to live a life filled with joy.

I threw out my television, stopped listening to the news.

I shut down my company, moved to an island, started to write again, and invited others to join me on my journey. I relearned joy.

The most common form of despair is not being who you are.

— Søren Kierkegaard

We would all like to build a life with joy in it but we are so diverted from who we are that we lose touch with ourselves. We don’t keep in touch with our talents, pleasures and creativity. Life gets small…
