“Usually adult males who are unable to make emotional connections with the women they choose to be intimate with are frozen in time, unable to allow themselves to love for fear that the loved one will abandon them. If the first woman they passionately loved, the mother, was not true to her bond of love, then how can they trust that their partner will be true to love?

“The Real Heroes are gathering now. Are you ready to count yourself among them? They know that love represents all the best in life, that the pain and suffering of our brothers and sisters anywhere hurts us all. They are working to create a world that is fair and just. They stand up and speak out for what they believe when everyone else is silent.”

~ Laurence Overmire, from The One Idea That Saves The World

To love the world is a participatory and reciprocal action — for what you give to the world, the world returns to you, many fold, and you will live days of love that will make your head spin, that you will treasure for all time…And, yes, heartache awaits love’s end, but you find in time that this too is a gift — this little death — from which you are reborn, time and again. I have only one piece of advice for you both, and it is the very best that I can give. Love. The world is waiting.
