Anger, Love And The Simpleton
The Simpleton is a general figure, not only in fairy tales but a general mythological motif.
He symbolises the basic genuineness and integrity of the personality….
The gift of guileless integrity is a divine spark in the human being. In analysis, I would say that it is the decisive factor as to whether an analysis goes right or wrong.

“Something troubling you?” he asked.
“Yes,” I said, looking over at all the Westerners. “I can’t stand adharma (those behaviors which people manifest that take them away from God). I can’t stand it in them (pointing to the Westerners), and I can’t stand it in me..”…I began to cry. No, not just to cry but to wail. Maharaji patted me vigorously on the head and sent for milk, and when I could see through my tears, I saw that he was crying too.
Then, when I had composed myself sufficiently, he leaned up close and said, “I told you to love everybody.”
“Yes, Maharaji, but you also told me to tell the truth. And the truth is that I just don’t love everybody.” Then Maharaji came even closer, so that we were practically nose to nose, and he said, “Love everyone and tell the truth.”
